 Great razor -- while it lasted September 3, 2010

Just quit today after less than 3 years of use. Might need a new battery -- I'm going to send it in for service next week. If the repair is too expensive -- I'll just buy one of the Panasonic ones to see how they are.

This is my 3rd Braun shaver. I have also used Norelco shavers. This is the best shaver I have used thus far. It is worth the extra cost. One note - the instructions indicate to get a good shave to do so before washing one's face. I disagree. I have found it best to shower first and then apply a solution of Williams pre electric shave. Much better.

I love this shaver. I can shave every day without irritation. Because the base does the cleaning for me I don't have to worry about the condition of the blade, it's taken care off.
And the digital display telling you when it needs to be cleaned is surprising accurate.
I highly recommend this item.
Braun Series 7 shaver September 1, 2010

Its good but not as good as the Braun that I am replacing. Unfortunatley after five years my older braun is dying a slow death. I purchased the more expensive shaver in hopes that it would match the quality of the older one but it did not.

Have had Braun shavers for years now. Was a little surprised that my face took a couple of weeks to get used to this one. This new cutting head does a lot better than my old Braun (Model 7526) in some areas like my upper lip and my chin. I think the much faster pulsing of the cutter heads helps. But I still like my older Braun better for other areas like my neck. I'm hoping my neck just needs to get used to it as well. I definitely like the pop-out trimmer on the old Braun better. This new one sticks out far from the razor body and is narrow and is a bit akward to use.
